Private Gardens

Landscape design and planting for a substantial country property with extensive views across the surrounding Suffolk landscape.

The garden is organised as a series of terraces extending from the house, balancing the formality of the architecture and existing stonework with softer, richly layered planting. Long axes and open views maintain the connection with the wider countryside, while planting gives definition and seasonal character to the spaces immediately around the house.

Plant selection and setting out were developed closely with the client and contractors on site, responding to the scale and character of the property while ensuring the planting remained integral to the wider landscape.
